A reader commented on my Mafia Wars Cheats and Tips Part 2 post. The comment is very enlightening but since it does not conform with my comment policy and thus I cannot post in in the comment section. I have decided to highlight the comment as another post since it will be very helpful to many Mafia Wars players.

You on not giving the best advice. Some of these are beginners mistakes. Don’t deposit your US money. The bank takes 10% and it not likely you will be robbed or attacked for more than 10%. I average about 1 or 2% loss per day at $960 million an hour. Only bank it if you intend to sale all of your gold properties. But this only matters if you really love the money factor. Some say after a certain point the $ is least important. As in you have 850 Billion or 4 Trillion you won’t need to earn or you can survive fine off of higher level jobs (US). Don’t sale your building sites or Mafia Mikes. They cant be robbed. Don’t heal yourself. You cant be robbed or attacked if your health is below 20%. So if you keep healing your self you just give crews more chances to rob and attack you. Don’t invest skill points in health. when you auto rob or attack using a bookmarklets you will automatically renew your health as needed. Repair your properties strategically. If you’re being robbed on a regular basis don’t repair and the robber will stop robbing you because your will be at the maximum robbery level. Protecting your property is usually a bad idea.They will usually charge 1 1/4 your hourly income of your total properties to protect them. It’s best to wait the robbery or attacks out.

1. Agree on: Don’t deposit your US money. The bank takes 10% and it not likely you will be robbed or attacked for more than 10%. Although I believe Mafia Wars Cuba money mechanics are different to New York part so I will stick to my Always use Bank whenever in Cuba.
2. Agree also on: Don’t sale your building sites or Mafia Mikes. They cant be robbed. Mafia Mikes are based on the number of Mafia Friends and I believe it is good investment.
3. I have mixed thoughts on: Don’t heal yourself. You cant be robbed or attacked if your health is below 20%. I get your point on the saving money part by not allowing yourself to be robbed. But what if you do not want your mafia to be iced or whacked?
4. Agree on: Don’t invest skill points in health. This is really a beginner’s mistake that many players make because of some early stages in New York you to do battle out some minor boss to get some boosts.
5. Mixed thoughts also on:  Repair your properties strategically. If you’re being robbed on a regular basis don’t repair and the robber will stop robbing you because your will be at the maximum robbery level. I like the last part of your comment more.
6. Agree on: Protecting your property is usually a bad idea.They will usually charge 1 1/4 your hourly income of your total properties to protect them. For my current level now I buy properties, protect them and get robbed really is a big waste of money. I would rather focus on other tasks that will have greater value. What I usually do now is buy and sell properties that have some achievement points.
