Philhealth Tips: Philhealth Hotline, Comments, Questions and Answers Part 2

I am receiving some comments/contact form inquiries from my previous Philhealth Posts. And as a public service to the commenter’s and to my readers, I have decided to answer the questions via this blog post.

First some disclaimer and disclosure:
I am _NOT_ employed nor connected with Philhealth. Hindi po ako nagtratrabaho sa Philhealth. I’m just another Philhealth member and my posts here are based on my experiences with Philhealth. If you want to know on what I do for a living, please visit my about page.

Having said that lets proceed with the questions (I did some minor edit so that it will be more presentable in the blog) and I will do my best to give helpful answers.

Question 1 (from lorenachew, Submitted on 2011/04/19 via contact form)

pwede po ba malaman namin sa pamamagitan nyo if ano address ng alam kong philhealth number ng nagnakaw sa kaibigan ko. nag aallow ba kayo ibahagi sa amin if san address nun? mahalagang gamit at pera ang kinuha. hope respond to our email. Thanks

Hi Lorenachew,
As I do not work for Philhealth, I cannot help you with the address of the member. It will be best for you to go to the nearest Philhealth Office to request for this information. Since this is like theft related (nagnakaw at mahalagang gamit at pera ang kinuha) I am not sure if you need to do a police blotter too. Hope this reply helps.

Question 2 (from nelson ingua, Submitted on 2011/04/25 via comment)

Hello, I just want to know what is my philhealth number…naghuhulog na ako for almost 2 years but until now wala pa ako philhealth number. Pwede ko ba malaman if what is my number through your website?

Hi Nelson,
Sorry, since I am not a Philhealth employee and I cannot give you your philhealth number via my website.
To help you, I suggest you go to the nearest Philhealth Office, and bring your Certificate of PhilHealth Contribution (you can get this from your HR or agency) and also bring at least 2 valid ID’s (government issued ID, like SSS/GSIS ID, drivers license, passport, postal ID/etc.
Hope this reply helps.

Question 3 (from dexter parungao, Submitted on 2011/04/27 via comment)

Salamat

Hi Dexter,
I would suggest that you follow up where you submitted the form or to the nearest Philhealth office. They are the best person to help you on the refund. I hope this answer helps.

June 20, 2011 Monday is a Holiday

It’s official now: June 20, 2011 is a holiday in the Philippines.

According to Proclamation No. 154, June 19, 2011 marks the 150th birth anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal, and since this date falls on a Sunday, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) requested that the next day June 20, 2011, be declared as special non-working holiday for the ceremonies and celebration.

Hat tip to Pinoy Ambisyoso for the heads up.

On CIH and Chernobyl

I have vague recollection of events before, as I was a new antivirus engineer doing the daily AVx stuff during that time and I only remember a few things about PE_CIH:

  1. That PE_CIH is a difficult challenging case, caused a lot of pain in the a**.
  2. April 26 was the trigger date of the payload activation, and it coincided with the anniversary of the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster.
  3. Newer CIH variants surfaced and some have trigger dates of  every 26th of the month
  4. I remember some old Trend Micro calendar that have notable malware names on specific dates, don’t know if I still have it 🙂
  5. Life was a lot simpler then (haha menard is senti and is reminiscing 🙂 )

Fast forward to 2011, today is April 26, exactly 25 years after the unfateful events at the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant in old Ukranian SSR. And since nuclear power is a sensitive topic now (as Japan is still reeling from the Fukushima nuclear incident) I decided to post something about it here in my blog.

To those who want to grind more info about CIH/Chernobyl malware, here are some related materials:

Poreotics In Manila This May 2011 (Justin Bieber Concert and Mall Hop Tour)

Poreotics, winner of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew Season 5 last year will be in Manila next month.

Seriously, I haven’t heard of them until this weekend. I will be honest to all that I am _NOT_ into this dance and dance crew stuff but I really got curious as Raven and my nephew seems to be addicted into to one of their videos (see the monkeys below). So I did some quick research and I am impressed with the group hence this post.

Their group name came from the three styles of hip-hop: popping, choreography and robotics hence Poreotics. They will be the front act for Justin Bieber in his May 10 concert in SM MOA grounds and will do some mall tour too (see Poreotics Mall Hop image below)

It is interesting to note that 3 of the members of dance crew are Filipinos (Lawrence Devera, Justin Valles and Chad Mayate) while the other three (Matt Nguyen, Can Nguyen and Charles Nguyen) are Vietnamese.

If fellow ABDC champs Jabbawockeez have masks, they have their own trademark: dark glasses. They explained that it gives them character and its their way to hide their emotions.

Below is their video with Justin Bieber and Usher: Somebody to Love (official video remix)

And another video with Bruno Mars singing and dancing The Lazy Song (yes they are the little monkeys here 🙂 )

Happy Foursquare Day 2011!!!

Update 2011.04.16 1:17PM (GMT+8)

We finally got our #4sqDay 2011 Badge. For those asking how to get Foursquare Day Badge in Philippines (Manila and other nearby places), here is my Foursquare Tip:

  • Just check in to 1 venue (using app or mobile web) and include “Happy Foursquare Day!” as a shoutout you will have your very own #4sqDay 2011 Badge

It’s April 16 today and it’s Foursquare Day 2011!!! Foursquare Day is a global social media holiday that was first observed last April 16, 2010 in hundreds of cities around the world.

Why April 16? Because four squared is 16 and it corresponds to the 4th month and 16th day of the year 🙂

I heard that Mayors IRL from all around the globe have done some official proclamation in support of Foursquare Day this year. Mayors Mike Bloomberg of NYC, Mark Mallory of Cincinnati, OH and Lee Leffingwell of Austin, TX and a lot more are part of the list of real life mayor who threw support to the Foursquare Day 2011 initiatives

Below is the video greeting from the Foursquare team.

I know they will be giving away Foursquare Day Badges but I’m still researching how to get it. I am also not sure if there will be a foursquare meetup somewhere in Manila but I will post here when I confirmed one.

Twitter hashtags are #4sqDAY and #sqDAY so make sure to add up to your Foursquare Day related day tweets.

For more details on Foursquare Day 2011 kindly visit my batangastoday post.

Happy Foursquare Day everyone!!!

My iBlog7 Experience

I attended iBlog7 yesterday. This is my second iBlog conference as I also attended iBlog6 last year.

Meet and Greet the Bloggers
I arrived early at the Malcolm Theater with SpiderHam and some minutes later Jeff joined us. During the registration I saw my teammates from Batangastoday.com. I met and shook hands with Marhgil, Shella, Angel, Alex and Mischelle and they gave me my BT Shirt :). I also met Anton and he took some pictures of my friends and the BT Team.

I also met emcee Flow and shook hands with him on one of the sessions. I also greeted a fellow BT news patroller Iris a little later. Shook hands with Jehzlau (I think he arrived at the end of the session), Regnard and Marcelle before I left the venue late in the afternoon.

I met other bloggers too but my poor memory of low level skills of matching the face with the name and the blog prevented me from mentioning them all here. Guys and Gals, drop me a note via the comments sections so that I can do some shout out and link for you.

Morning Sessions
First Roby Alampay of TV5 introduced the attendees to TV5’s web portal Interaksyon.com. Jinkee Umali and Jonel Uy followed Roby and they discussed blogging 101 and the basics. Adrian Pena discussed Podcasting next and Roy Dela Cruz talked about Dealing with Writer’s Block. Roy’s presentation is really great (and is one of my favorite sessions for iBlog7) and I am following him on twitter now. Sonny Santos discussed Blogging for Advocacy and shared his advocacy with Web Safety PH.

Before the lunch break the organizers initiated the Brag and Plug your Blog session, and Janette encouraged me to stand up and talk about my blog. I really have to put my shyness away (for a minute or so) and grabbed to the microphone to promote menardconnect.com, batangastoday.com and my twitter account too.

Good Food
Food is not a problem with iBlog7. I believe iBlog7 got a lot of sponsors now and attendees had a good lunch with morning and afternoon snacks to boot. Mang B, the mascot of Binalot roamed around the iBlog7 venue during lunchtime.

Afternoon Delights
In the afternoon, UP Concert choir serenaded the attendees with three songs including a good rendition of the Tong song (that’s the tong pakitong-kitong alimango song). Next to the songs, Grace Nicolas continued the discussion on Blogging for Advocacy. Fitz Villafuerte discussed an interesting topic called Blog Traffic without SEO and he shares his experiences with his food and beverage blog thirstyblogger.com. Fitz idea is great and I believe that if the ideas are applied and mixed with SEO techniques it will bring great results.

Mon Macutay of Level Up discussed blog and Facebook integration and I got some good tips from his session that I will try out in menardconnect.com soon. Michael Rubio talked about Building a Discussion Community and he gave some good pointers about trolls (commenters that is) on his anime blog. Last presenter is Ria Tirazona and she discussed Blogging and Online Relationships as Support System.

The organizers gave away many freebies and I got the iBlog7 T-shirt. And the attendees had a great group picture to wrap up the sessions in the Malcolm Theater, UP College of Law, UP Diliman.

Congrats to Jannette and the organizers!

Hope to see you all again in iBlog8 next year!

Free Six Tagalog Love Quotes

Are you looking from some Filipino or Tagalog love quotes?

If yes, you are lucky as because in the tradition of my of my six free wow mounts, my free six video, my six cafe world cheats and my six new Philippine money posts, I am sharing some six tagalog love quotes (banat quotes or hirit quotes) 🙂

Alam mo bagay sayo yang damit mo, pero mas bagay ako sayo!

Para kang dictionary, kasi you give meaning to my life!

Cheesy!!! Tagalog love quotes and tagalog banat quotes are taken from the Internet and all of them are either original or variant or spin off love quotes from the movie My Amnesia Girl.

Hope you like my free six tagalog love quotes.
