HBO Presents: 24/7 Pacquiao vs Marquez 4

While waiting for the Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 bout why not watch some HBO 24/7 Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4 Episodes?

We all know that Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will be fighting Juan Manuel Marquez for the 4th time on December 8, 2012 (December 9 in Manila). But as of writing this post it will be several hours away so I suggest you watch some special HBO 24/7 Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4

Here is Episode 1 of HBO 24/7 Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4

And here is Episode 2 of HBO 24/7 Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4

Both video courtesy of youtube.com and HBOSports

Special thanks to Ark and mannypaquiaovs.com website for the heads up on the HBO 24/7 videos.

Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 Ilemi TV, Sopcast, Justin TV

Update:
Juan Manuel Marquez wins via KO (Round 6).

Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will be fighting Juan Manuel Marquez for the 4th time on December 8, 2012 (December 9 in Manila). The WBO ‘Champion of the Decade’ belt will be at stake and the match will be held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Pacman is sporting a 54W-4L-2D card while Marquez got a 54W-6L-1D card.

Pacman is coming from a controversial loss against Timothy Bradley last June 2012. Marquez was victorious in his last bout against Serhiy Fedchenko last April 2012.

For this boxing match I will be in Manila, Philippines like the Pacquiao Marquez III, Pacquiao Mosley, Pacquiao Cotto and Pacquiao Margarito matches.

Of course the usual PPV channels like HBO-PPV are the best choice if you got lotsa money. Toprank.com also offers live screening via TopRank.TV

Again this is the time when people are planning where to watch Pacquiao vs Marquez 4, but if you have extra money to spare and you are in the Philippines, try the nearest cinema at the mall nearest you. Almost all the major cinemas (SM Malls and Robinsons Malls) are offering Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 live screenings so why not try to watch it there in wide screen.

Some restaurants are offering Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 live screenings too so look for the best bargain ok? Some town plaza and city gyms are also playing Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 bouts live courtesy of their local government officials so it will be a good choice.

For me (and I know a lot of other folks in the internetz), it will be online diskarte time again hehe 🙂

Disclaimer: I do not guarantee if the channels below will work. Some of them worked in the previous Pacman fights against Marquez III, Mosley, Margarito, Cotto and Clottey. But I will try my best to update this one with available channels and links.

Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 Ilemi TV (Ilemi.TV)

Ilemi TV is a free streaming site. Over the course of time Ilemi have changing domain names. Before they were at Ilemi.me, then they moved to Ilemi.com and now they seems to be Ilemi.tv or Ilemi.eu

This is for me the best option for Pacquiao vs Marquez 4: Ilemi, just remember and try their sites (go to ilemi.com or ilemi.me or www.ilemi.tv or ilemi.eu) and look for Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 related channels.

Just be vigilant because Pacquiao and Marquez have fought several times already and you may be viewing the old Pacquiao vs Marquez bouts.

Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 Sopcast

Sopcast is free program that offers video streaming services. You have to download Sopcast client and then know specific channels playing Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 Sopcast. This worked on previous Pacquiao bouts but the issue we got last time is that Sopcast was heavily policed. By “policed” it means the website is monitored well and unofficial streams of boxing matches are disconnected. As of writing the all my known Pacquiao and boxing channels return error messages. But I will share if there will be available channels.

Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 Justin.TV

Justin.TV is another favorite streaming site whenever there are sporting events like boxing or football.

You need to go to Justin.TV website, and during popular boxing bouts like Pacquiao vs Marquez 4, Justin.tv usually highlights that they are serving it live. But just like Sopcast, the problem we got with Justin.TV was that it was also heavily policed and channels streaming Pacquiao were either removed, or maximum connection allowed were reached. But again Justin.TV is definitely a free choice.

I will update this post if I have other choices.

Of course I’m rooting for a Manny Pacquiao win!

And this post is my good luck shout out post to Pacman and to Team Pacquiao!!!

Yahoo Messenger and Microsoft Windows Live Messenger Breakup

I’ve read via the Yahoo Messenger announcement that YM and MS Windows Live Messenger will no longer be interoperable starting December 14, 2012.

I am a fan of instant messaging apps. I remember those good ol days when I still have ICQ and AOL IM (together with YM and MSN/hotmail) and Trillian was my pop tool to manage all the IMs. So don’t be surprised if this YM and MSN messenger interoperability is a sad news for me. Honestly I have loved their inter-connectivity for a long time and I got a lot of MSN/Hotmail contacts in my YM account.

Quoting the YM Blog:

Yahoo! Messenger interoperability with Microsoft Windows Live Messenger

Yahoo! Messenger will no longer be interoperable with Microsoft Windows Live Messenger as of December 14, 2012. Microsoft buddies will still appear on your Messenger contact list, but they will be greyed out, and if you try to send instant messages to them, the messages will not be delivered.

This is just one of the several EOS’es that Yahoo announced last November 30. Yahoo! Messenger Public Chat Rooms, Yahoo! Messenger Pingbox and Yahoo! Voice Phone In and Phone Out are the other features that will not be continued.

I don’t have other info about the YM and MS Messenger breakup but maybe both instant messenger projects are low priority in both tech companies so it’s very easy to say it will be not be functioning altogether. Maybe the revenue is not good or maybe this interconnection is too costly to maintain. Maybe the Skype acquisition and current MSFT integration or the direction to move to the outlook.com model played a key role coming up with the stop interoperability decision.

Read more about this story the Yahoo Messenger Blog post.

Are you a Yahoo Messenger user too? Or maybe a Microsoft Windows Live Messenger user? Or maybe BOTH? What are your thoughts on this breakup? Feel free to leave your comments at the end of this blog post.
