Wordpress wins Overall Best Open Source CMS Award

Congratulations to Wordpress for winning the Overall Best Open Source CMS Award in the 2009 Open Source CMS Awards. I first heard of the new from a twit from Beau Lebens which I RT’d and then read about it in the Wordpress blog post by Matt.
Wordpress is popularly known as a blog platform but it can be a powerful CMS tool. This is one of the things I learned at WordCamp Philippines 2009, wherein we had some great presentations on the CMS features of Wordpress. I will definitely consider using Wordpress if I will have a future CMS project (other than blog). Again, congrats to the whole Wordpress Team!
