Some good news for Google (and for Motorola and Android too 😀 )! Their Googtorola Deal gets the EU’s regulatory nod and US DOJ’s clearance.

Quoting the Official Google Blog:

We’re happy that today the European Commission approved our proposed acquisition of Motorola Mobility, which we announced in August. This is an important milestone in the approval process and it moves us closer to closing the deal. We are now just waiting for decisions from a few other jurisdictions before we can close this transaction.

At the last part of the article an update is posted that mentioned that US Department of Justice has closed its investigation on the Motorola Mobility acquisition by Google.

So I guess this is double “For The Win” for Google this Valentine’s Day 🙂
