Angry Birds Space Cheats and Tips: Golden Egg Location

Angry Birds Space was successfully released last March 22 for iOS, Android, Mac and PC platforms!

When Rovio announce the planned release last month , I quickly blogged about it here at because I really love the Angry Birds and the Bad Piggies.

And today, Rovio tweeted that Angry Birds Space reached 10 Million downloads! Wow!!!

And because lots of people are asking me if I have some Angry Birds Space Cheats and Angry Birds Space Tips, I am sharing some Cheats and Tips for Angry Birds Space now 🙂
My Angry Birds Space Cheats for the day is about Angry Birds Space Golden Egg location.
The first Angry Birds Space Golden Egg is on Stage 1-9. Just zoom out, and the egg is in the other planet, just below the 2 Bad Piggies in orbit.

When you hit this Angry Birds Space Golden Egg, there will be some sort of a black hole opening and an animation will be started showing that the black hole and its effect to the Angry Birds. The player will be then transported to a secret level and it looks like the old classic game atari game: Space Invaders

After unlocking the Angry Birds meets Space Invaders stage, you can repeat the stage and perfect it to three stars by going to the Eggsteroid Stage in the main game menu.

Originally, I plan to blog about other Angry Birds Space Golden Egg location and screen cap in the coming days, but if you really cannot wait and  want to have more Angry Birds Space cheats, just go the following Angry Birds Space levels and stage below and look for the Golden Egg :

Level 1-20: Look for the golden egg hidden in the plants/bushes of the planet

and you will unlock the Angry Birds meets Super Mario stage.

View more Angry Birds Super Mario cheats here

Level 2-13: Zoom out and the golden egg will be in the plants/bushes of the planet below the sling shot. This Angry Birds Space Golden Egg unlocks an Angry Birds meets Breakout stage.

View more Angry Birds Breakout cheats here

Level 2-25: The golden egg is on the same planet of slingshot. Just zoom out and it is on the opposite side of the planet. This Angry Birds Space Golden Egg unlocks some Bubble game that I don’t recall the name.

Level 2-28: Angry Birds Space Golden Egg is hidden the snow just next to the arrow sign, and this golden egg unlocks another game that I cannot recall now (will update this post).

Supposedly there is another Angry Birds Space Golden Egg somewhere as the Angry Birds Space Eggsteroids stage says 18 stars (so 18 divided by 3 will be 6 stages). I will update this post when I already have the location of the 6th golden egg.

Google Play Store: Android Market is Upgrading to Google Play?

Yup! Google is consolidating apps, music, movies and ebooks into one portal: Google Play Store.

This also will mean that Android Market, Google Music and the Google eBookstore will be merged into one Google Play Store online.

A good and logical move imho.

I am just surprised that the update seems to be not that transparent in my droid. I opted to be notified on every updates before doing the actual update. But it seems either I messed up my settings recently or the update is really a covert one and I was just notified by my AV scanner that it did not found any malicious activity in the update.

Google positioned the cloud-based Google Play as a digital entertainment destination where users can find, enjoy and share their favorite music, movies, books and apps on the web and on your Android phone or tablet. Sounds familiar huh?
My quick check reveals that it is the same old Android Market interface:

But if I will find something interesting I will post it here at

Angry Birds Space Launch on March 22

Our favorite furious fowl, Angry Birds, is launching into orbit this March 22, 2012.

Meet the newest addition to the Angry Birds family: Angry Birds Space!!!

Video credit: and Rovio Mobile

Quoting the official Rovio Blog:

We are VERY excited to announce our next game: Angry Birds Space! It’s going to be the biggest game launch since the original Angry Birds!

Angry Birds Space is a completely new game with innovative new gameplay, but with some of the familiar Angry Birds elements that fans already know and love — plus some surprises!

Wow! The Angry Birds are conquering the outer space now! Exciting!

Rovio is keeping the excitement on a high level and did not share much details about the newest game. The Angry Birds Space video teaser just shared the subtitle “Its one small fling for a bird, one quantum leap for birdkind“.

They also promised announce more information early March, and on launch date (March 22) they will launch Angry Birds Space simultaneously in mobile gaming, animation, retail, and publishing.

My question to Rovio folks: Will we also be seeing the cute angry pigs in Angry Birds Space?

I will definitely keep an eye out for this newest Angry Birds Space game.

Hopefully they also release simultaneously in Android, iOS and other platforms.

Googtorola Gets Green Light from European Commission and US DOJ

Some good news for Google (and for Motorola and Android too 😀 )! Their Googtorola Deal gets the EU’s regulatory nod and US DOJ’s clearance.

Quoting the Official Google Blog:

We’re happy that today the European Commission approved our proposed acquisition of Motorola Mobility, which we announced in August. This is an important milestone in the approval process and it moves us closer to closing the deal. We are now just waiting for decisions from a few other jurisdictions before we can close this transaction.

At the last part of the article an update is posted that mentioned that US Department of Justice has closed its investigation on the Motorola Mobility acquisition by Google.

So I guess this is double “For The Win” for Google this Valentine’s Day 🙂

My Post in Malware Blog: How Big will the Android Malware Threat Be in 2012?

Happy New Year to all!!!

I have many post ideas for the blog and I cannot decide which one to post first. But I guess I’ll settle with the post (or actually a repost) that is related to one of my favorite topics here at and at work and that is Android and malware.

So to start the year 2012, I am re-sharing my article published on TrendLabs Malware Blog  last January 5, 2012.

How Big will the Android Malware Threat Be in 2012?
by Menard Osena (Solutions Product Manager)

In August 2011, we released our Snapshot of Android Threats, which stated that there was a significant increase in the number of Trojanized Android apps and actual malware targeting the Android platform.

In our 12 Security Predictions For 2012, we mentioned that smartphone and tablet platforms, especially Android, will suffer from more cybercriminal attacks.

In our continuous monitoring of this threat, we soon noticed that the problem was growing at an alarming rate. From a mere handful of malicious apps at the start of the year, it skyrocketed to more than a thousand malicious Android apps by the middle of December 2011. The average month-on-month growth rate for the second half of 2011 was more than 60%.

If this growth rate is sustained this year, then 2012 will definitely be an “exciting” year for Android. Why is this so? If current trends hold, we may be able to see more than 120,000 malicious Android apps by December.

There are several factors that are causing this explosive growth:

  • The increasing popularity of Android, as highlighted both by the number of total downloaded apps (more than 10 billion via the official Android Market) and the number of users and activations, as stated by Gartner and Google Senior Vice President of Mobile Andy Rubin.
  • The openness of the Android app distribution model. Unlike other mobile OSes, users are free to install applications without passing through any filtering process. This lowers the barriers to installing malicious apps considerably.
  • The cybercriminal mindset: Bad guys attack where the money is.

2011 already saw a wide variety of threats emerge for Android, as we discussed in our year in review. Android malware is definitely here to stay for 2012.

For now just the repost and some shoutout and appreciation to my teammates who helped (in one way or another) me in the completion of the post.

Special thanks to Jonathan, Christian, Macky, Gelo, Dani, and Eric for their help in the article. You guys and gals really rock!!!
